The Creative Holiday Workshop Scheme
Since 1996, Theatre of Image in association with the Institute of Early Childhood at Macquarie University, has conducted creative workshops at the institute that intermix the disciplines of puppetry/art, drama and music in each workshop.

Psychedelic April Thu 24 & Fri 25 (Anzac Day)
Be turned on by the Pop Culture of the 60s - the cultural revolution that transformed the city skyline, art, fashion, politics, popular entertainment and technology. Think Andy Warhol, The Beatles  to Abba, Swinging London, Carnaby Street, Itchycoo Park.  Lots of cool fun with colour, abstract patterns, groovy movement and funky music in Art, Drama/Movement & Music.

Fantastic July Mon 14 & Tue 15
Our favourite classic fairytales are passed on from generation to generation.  This age-old form is the basis of this workshop in fantasy. Children will create their own contemporary tales of power and enchantment - of heroes' and heroines' thrilling adventures as they triumph over the archetypal villains and demons and win at all costs.

Cosmic October Mon 7 & Tue 8
Planet Earth has become too crowded so one small step in our imaginations and we are off to explore the mysteries of the universe.  Rocketing off to another planet, having a space race to Mars, experiencing the stars, infinite space, the planets and the galaxies.
NOTE: This workshop is linked to the development of a new Theatre of Image production. Children in this workshop have the opportunity to participate in the show to be staged in 2004 with Australian Youth Orchestra.
