Room airconditioners are available in basically two designs.

Room systems (also known as "window units") provide a simple, economical solution for home or office. Units are available to cater for the smallest bedroom up to large living areas of up to 50 M².

Split systems offer a quieter alternative to an equivalent sized "window unit". The indoor coil and fan unit is mounted high on an appropriate wall and connected to the outdoor condensing unit via insulated copper refrigeration piping. Split systems are also available as a floor-mounted console or ceiling-mounted cassette systems. These types of split systems are designed to serve a single room and must be sized correctly for optimum performance. "Bigger is not necessarily better!"

Multi split systems can provide an ideal solution when you need to aircondition more than one room. Systems are available that can operate up to seven indoor units from one outdoor unit. These systems offer a viable option to ducted systems.
