Whichever way you look at it, a ducted airconditioning system is a major investment, and like most purchases, you really do "get what you pay for".

There are three aspects to consider when purchasing a ducted system.

1. Equipment
We offer a number of well known brands and recommend Daikin and Carrier units. The fan coil unit (indoor) and condensing unit (outdoor) can account for up to 50% of the total cost of the job.

2. Components
There is an extensive range of flexible ducts, grilles, fittings and other components that make up a total system. The quality of these components varies with price, but as we only recommend and supply the best quality equipment, it is never advisable to use cheap (generally poor quality) duct and fittings, which can cause a loss in efficiency of the system. We only use top quality components from larger, more reputable suppliers that offer substantial guarantees with their goods.

3. Installation
The labour content in a ducted system installation can represent up to 20% of the total cost. Even if you use the best equipment and components, a substandard installation can lead to a number of ongoing problems long after the installation warranty has expired. We guarantee our installs for 12 full months and encourage our clients to take advantage of our regular preventative maintenance programs to ensure smooth operation of the equipment for the life of the system.
