Homeless Services
The Salvation Army is the largest support agency in Australia, supplying accommodation for more than 2,000 homeless people every night. Each year, more than 40,000 adults, including 21,000 under the age of 22, are homeless in Australia. The Salvation Army's crisis accommodation services provide immediate access to accommodation and personal support.

Homeless men can find accommodation at the Foster House Complex located at 5-21 Mary Street, Surry Hills 2010, ph (02) 9212-1065. Located in Sydney's inner city, the House provides 96 beds, counselling, support and case management.

Homeless women can find accommodation through The Salvation Army Samaritan House at 6 O'Loughlin Street, Surry Hills 2010, ph (02) 9211-5794. The House can accommodate around 20 women at one time, along with eight medium-term supported accommodation units. Referral can also be provided to women's refuges by calling (02) 9336-3320.
