Host of the ABC's Spicks and Specks and Gold Logie nominee Adam Hills returns to his stomping ground upon the stage of Sydney's Comedy Store for one huge night of laughs.
As a recent addition to Australia's comedic hierarchy, Hills has found his diary rather full of late but has cleared all engagements on July 3 to make his first stand-up appearance of the year. The nice-guy comic, who pokes his quick and clever wit at all manner of targets, made his name with spotlight and mic, emerging as a stand-up favourite in the late '90s and coining the phrase "Go you big red fire engine".
While the host's chair on the set of Spicks and Specks has become his home of late, Hills is also a regular on the international comedy circuit with his solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and Montreal 'Just for Laughs' festivals receiving five-star reviews and sold-out status.
Although the Gold Logie eluded him this year, Hills is the hoarder of his fair share of awards with his show Happy Feet winning the inaugural People's Choice award at the 2002 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
