The 41st Sydney International Boat Show sails into town from July 31 to August 5. The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre hosts exhibitions from key players in the marine industry while Cockle Bay fills up with more than 300 boats.

Highlights of the show include the Yamaha fishing clinic, Better Boating workshops, Musto fashion parades and the boat-building competition. The competition gives builders two hours to build a boat which they must then sail around Cockle Bay at Darling Harbour.

Special guests at this year's show are Justin Jones and James Castrission, two Sydneysiders who crossed from Australia to New Zealand in a kayak. Jones, 24, and Castrission, 25, spent 62 days at sea and endured 10-metre seas in their humble craft. They talk of their record-breaking adventure each day of the show and display the kayak that was their home for two whole months.

In addition to boats, the show displays the latest in marine engines, electronics, fishing tackle, scuba equipment and boating accessories and offers daily entertainment programs. The Sydney International Boat Show is a must-see event for all marine enthusiasts.
