Editorial Review
It's not mandatory to seize a member of staff by the ears and give them a mad pash, but you might want to. This is service of real quality; people who want to be with you, want to serve you and actually think your presence might be, extraordinarily enough, worth their while. We also have a broad selection of stockbrokers and bankers in very expensive suits, but they're the punters and it's possible they may frown upon such behavior, so maybe we should leave the staff alone.
The Orbit Lounge is on the 47th floor of some building in Australia Square, all of which was designed by some architect who won some award
but we're not here to talk about that. Get in the lift, go up a very long way (165 metres) and pause to get over the nosebleed. Then step out and be treated as nothing less than a god. Or goddess, depending on your persuasion in terms of gender - the staff here make no distinction; they are just brilliant and more welcoming than your Mum on Motherss Day (if, of course, you remembered the flowers).
Another thing to note is that is that this place revolves. It's not just the killer cocktails; every 105 minutes you will see the same view again, and what a view - the bridge, the Opera House, and the odd car park - there's no point trying to hold a meaningful conversation here as you just end up staring out the window. And if you're feeling peckish there just so happens to be the Summit Restaurant on the same floor, run by celebrity chef Michael Moore, and sporting a menu of items you can't even pronounce. Possibly the best bar in Sydney.
