Is there anything The Wiggles can't do? Short answer: Probably. But having been named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, the group have wasted no time assembling some of Australia's finest performers for a benefit show. Joining the Wiggles on stage for their UNICEF Concert are Jimmy Barnes, Kate Ceberano, Damien Leith, The McClymonts, Katie Noonan and a whole lot more. Yes, you read that right. Some of Australia's best and brightest are donning skivvies and singing along to such well known classics as Get Ready to Wiggle and Do The Monkey.
Okay, that might not be entirely true. In fact, it's probably more likely that the above mentioned acts will be running through some of their own back catalogue. Still, the idea of Jimmy Barnes joining Dorothy the Dinosaur on stage for a duet does have a certain bent appeal. And Jimmy seems into it; talking about the event, he's referred to himself as the "black skivvied Wiggle".
Oh, and since this is an official UNICEF benefit you can be sure your money goes towards a good cause. Specifically, the creation and development of water and sanitation projects in East Timor. Good, wholesome fun for the entire family then.
