The backlash to the loss of live music venues has been nothing short of inspiring. It took a while for us to realise what was happening, but this animal that was about to face extinction has been brought back from the brink in the form of The Standard. Set in a building that has become the stuff of legends – think Kinselas, The Standard is what a live music venue is all about. The focus is on the music, so expect good acoustics and ample viewing room. All the coolest bands play there and with two bars you won’t go thirsty.
